The wedding of Carike and Enrico was one I have been looking forward to for some time. With the reception at De Vette Mossel, I knew not only would we have a beautiful sunset backdrop, but I was going to eat as much seafood as I could possibly want. Beach weddings are always fun, and this one was no different. De Vette Mossel hosted this beautiful wedding, near Mossel Bay in the Garden Route. As with the Garden Route weather we were uncertain if it was going to rain. The clouds were thick the morning of the wedding, but it seems the rain gods were smiling on this day. As the clouds provided a great natural softbox. And at the right moment when the sun was just about to set, they parted to give us a beautiful sunset.
I was lucky enough to meet Carike and Enrico before a couple of months ago when I shot their engagement. This fun and young couple were up for anything. So we drove around Groot Brak looking for locations to shoot. We found some great spots. By the time we were done with the shoot, I could not wait to try the famous food of De Vette Mosssel. This would be my first time at this venue, and all I can say was wow..they really do not disappoint.
Shooting Carike and Enrico was truly a wonderful experience, the love this couple have for each other can be seen in everything they do. From the moment Carike walked down the sandy aisle Enrico could not take his eyes of his beautiful bride. I think sometimes they forgot we were doing a shoot, as they were enjoying each others company so much. Which in the end was great for natural photos that I love so much.
